Despite the abundant cook of Coal in different part of Nigeria and the relative cheaper cost of generating electricity through the use of Coal. Nigeria government has not restrain it fit to embark on it use to achieve it verifiable of making electricity available at cheaper rate for two domestic and industrial use. The objective of this research work is to inquired into the strength of Coal as a source of generating electricity by comparing it with other sources in major countries of the world, measure it put on and challenges and make policy recommendation for Nigeria.
