After serving as a travel ship for about 2 years, the Olympic reenlisted as a troopship. This meant that the ship would now carry troops from America to europium and vice versa. In October of 1914, the Olympic unsuccessfully tried to pull a ship, which had recently hit a mine and was sinking, to a nearby dock. The ship sank on the way there.
