Abstract
From 250 A.D. to the late 1500s A.D. the Mayans and the Aztecs controlled Central and South America. Each was unique, but unchanging dual-lane a few of the same traits. two had their own calendar system, counting system, and Polytheistic religious beliefs along with similar temples create to worship their deities. While the Aztecs were the most prominent users of human sacrifice, the Mayans also participated in such rituals. A few differences between these civilizations were the affable structure, natural resources, and differing cultural strengths.
The Aztec and Mayan Civilizations in Americas
The Mayan and Aztec civilizations were the earliest advanced civilizations in Central and South America. Each was various but they still shared a few similar traits. They had a passing(a) life revolving around religious rituals generally requiring human sacrifices. Both civilizations had their own calendar and counting system along with polytheistic religious beliefs. The Mayans and Aztecs had their own written language. Differences between the civilizations lie in the social and cultural structures.
Due to their differing natural resources, both civilizations had different natural strengths.
The earliest Latin American civilization was the empire of the Mayans during two periods known as the Pre-Classic period from 2000 B.C. to 250 A.D, and the post unmingled period from 250 A.D. to 900 A.D. They controlled most of the Yucatan peninsula and part of southern Mexico. The Aztec empire startle existed as many city-states, but eventually three of them create a pact known as the Triple hamper (Townsend, 2000). This Triple Alliance began to expand in earnest by overpowering smaller cities and overtaking the local government and forcing them to redress tributes, or taxes.
