During the 1900s the term separate but equal was cognise but not enforced in real life. Blacks and whites were garbled at the time. Schools and restaurants were segregated. It was hard for shockings to find employment and the conditions of an all black school were not the same as the conditions in an all white school. The teachers in the black schools at the time were slight educated and the classrooms were smaller with much more kids, having no opportunity to give the student extra, one on one serve if needed.
