Lynda S. Robinson introduces us to a time in Ancient Egypt where scandals happened daily and murders to cover them up. In Murder at the idols Gate Robinson introduces Meren the main character who is k straight offn as the eyes and ears of the pharaoh and alerts him whenever he hears or sees something suspicious. In the story Meren faces many involutions both internal and external. Robinson uses contradict throughout the book to keep the reviewer in suspense.
When fleck begins the referee is introduced to Unas a pure one from the tabernacle of Amun. The reader is then introduced to Meren who is overseeing the installation of King Tutankhamuns statue and briefly sees Unas. The reader then finds out that Unas has been pushed off the top of the kings statue but to the other characters they do not know. Merens cousin-german Ebana who is a priest at the tabernacle and who holds a score at Meren for something that happened in the past tells Meren what will you do now dear cousin now that you spy in the temple is dead? Meren soon faces his first challenge at the temple when the head priest tells Meren that this is an issue the temple will piling with But Meren is persistent to find out what happened.
The second conflict Meren faces is when he and the king and a few of his friends go on a hippo hunt and when Meren and Ahiram one of Merens friends engender knocked into the water with an angry hippo in it and has to fend for his feel while trying to save Ahiram. The last biggest conflict Meren faces is against Tafener who was merchant ship it all and was the one Ahiram tried to warn Meren before expiry saying hell betray you too like he did me.
