|I am going to reflect on a literacy session within the early age setting. I am working in a year one folk which comprises of twenty seven |
|children. The children are of ages five to six years old and are pursual the Foundation Phase course of study for Wales.
The class is of a mixed |
| cleverness ranging from higher ability children to lower achieving children. The children are grouped according to their ability; hence there |
|are four groups which make up the coordinate of the class. I am going to reflect on the literacy information as a whole in the class, look foring at |
|the current teaching practice and evaluating the experience. The children are encouraged to look at and handle arrests in the class environment. |
|This is encouraged during bit time when the children have the opportunity to choose a book and silent enunciate when they have finished their |
|snack. As puff up as this, the children have a class library and read to a practitioner on a daily basis, following a reading scheme called Oxford|
|Reading Tree. roughly children within the class are not engaging in the literacy opportunities which are impacting on their progress in reading. |
