Galileo was a very famous Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher who play a major role in the scientific revolution. He was born on February 15, 1564 and was the age of 77 when he died on January 8, 1642. Galileos full name is Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaiuti de Galilei. He was born in Pisa, Italy and was the first of six children to his mother and father. When he was eleven Galileo was move off to study in a Jesuit monastery. At the age of 17, he entered the University of Pisa to study medicine. When he was 20 he curiously noticed a lamp swinging overhead period he was in a cathedral which led to Galileos law of pendulum. The law of pendulum was used to regulate clocks which without delay made Galileo famous. Another expectant advancement from Galileo was his debate on Aristotles laws of nature, which implied that heavier objects fell faster than lighter objects. Galileo decided to quiz Aristotles theory by dropping objects from a great height. He terminate up choosing to drop these objects from the Tower of Pisa which is 54 meters tall.
