Today at lunch, we had a debate about religion. As Pantheists, me and my cousin were asked who our God is and we answered that Everything is God, that everyone has a different point of view but nevertheless, everything is machine-accessible. The next question was how do we pray and we said we dont - at least not in the standard way. The toughest question then came next, which was that if we had problems, what do we do and who do we turn to and we said that we upright take it and sort out it as humans without expecting or relying on divine intervention.
They simply laughed. They did not understand. I have accepted that Pantheism can be a very odd concept for most people. I wasnt really a big fan of debates because Im sick of severe to explain the concept to people who would only reject it. I know that religion is a very sensitive issue, and I totally respect every other religion in the world. After all, people have the right to believe in whatever they want to believe.
But still, I want to make people understand why I stand by Pantheism.
First of all, Pantheism is NOT atheism. Atheism does not believe in any god, but Pantheism has a God which is everything in the universe. God is within everything, and everything is stop of God. I was once asked by a pastor: If I kicked a rock, then does that mean I am bitch and therefore disrespecting God? If I was allowed to clear an answer back then, I would just tell him that kicking a rock cannot be considered a disrespect to God, because just uniform the rock, you the person who kicked it are also a part of God.
